Force machine to pull packages after install

Hi
Sorry if this is a noob question, I'm new to PDQ and our main admin is on vacation.
We want to install machines via MDT and when it's done automatically install the packages assigned to a certain deploy list.

Is there a way to initiate the process from said newly installed machine?
My Google Fu is failing me at the moment.

Thank you in advance.

  • Hey there,

if you want a easy way to do it, i can recommend making a Dynamic Collection in Inventory similiar to the one used here by me:

In Pdq Deploy you can than set a package filled with nested packages and have it set to scan the collection from Inventory. Might require you to change the settings of your AD sync in the Inventory and Deploy settings to have them sync more often so you dont have to wait too long till the new device shows up.

    Hope that helps.

  • You can also do it by OU listing the OU folder your new computers are placed into.

PDQ may also not see the PC online quickly based on your DNS and how quickly the firewall rules necessary for PDQ get applied.

  • There are also a couple of ways to call Deploy from MDT:
