Target Requires Reboot to Complete .NET Installation


In PDQ Inventory, you receive the message, "Target requires reboot to complete .NET installation":



This indicates the .NET installer returned an error code of 3010 (ERROR_SUCCESS_REBOOT_REQUIRED) on the target computer.

Reboot the target machine and scan again.

The .NET installation will require a restart of the target computer if a .NET application was running during the installation. The running .NET application prevents the .NET installer from replacing the files in use by the current .NET Framework.
