I can't get into my PDQ account! What can I do to regain account access?

As a company that offers cloud-based device management, PDQ takes your account security seriously. We encourage organizations to add multiple administrators to their organizations and we offer self-service options for resetting passwords and multi-factor authentication (MFA), because these are the most secure methods for you to regain account access.

Please see the following articles for self-service options to transfer account ownership or reset your login:

Transfer Account Ownership to a New Administrator

How to Reset Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA)

We know how disruptive and upsetting it can be to lose access to a product you're paying for, but please try to keep in mind that all companies are vulnerable to social engineering attacks, and if someone contacts PDQ to try to gain access to your account, we want to make absolutely sure that this person is not an impostor or threat actor, but rather someone who should have rightful access to your account.

If you are unable to regain access to your account using the methods above, open a support ticket, and we will guide you through the manual verification process.

Please note, users can be a part of multiple organizations, each of which may contain one or more PDQ product subscriptions.

If you are trying to gain access to an organization with a PDQ Deploy and Inventory license only, you may choose and complete one of the verification options below.

If you are trying to gain access to an organization with a PDQ Connect subscription, you will need to choose and complete two of the verification options below.

  1. Phone call to your company to verify your identity and employment
PDQ will contact your company to verify your identity and employment.

  2. Notarized document
You will provide a notarized document on your company letterhead containing your identity, title, place of employment, and authorization for you to take ownership of the account.

  3. DNS record
In the zone file for your company's domain, add a text record with a value that we will provide. Once you have added the record, let us know and we will validate. This domain must be a match for email address of the person making the request.

If you're using one of the following services, here are instructions for how to perform this step:
GoDaddy External KB: Add a TXT record
Google External KB: Verify your domain with a TXT record
Microsoft Entra ID External KB: Add a TXT or MX record to verify you own the domain.
NameCheap External KB: How do I add TXT/SPF/DKIM/DMARC records for my domain?
Network Solutions External KB: How Do I Manage DNS and Advanced DNS Records?
