PDQ Inventory Active Directory Collections showing incorrectly

Purpose

PDQ Inventory Active Directory Collections are showing as multiple duplicates, incorrect names, no longer existing OU containers.

Resolution

  1. Disable the "Create Active Directory Collections" option in PDQ Inventory Active Directory Preferences.
    • PDQ Inventory menu bar > Options > Preferences > Active Directory
  2. Optimize the PDQ Inventory database in PDQ Inventory Database Preferences.
    • PDQ Inventory menu bar > Options > Preferences > Database
  3. Perform an AD Sync from PDQ Inventory Active Directory Preferences.
    • PDQ Inventory menu bar > Options > Preferences > Active Directory
  4. Wait 5 hours.
  5. Enable the "Create Active Directory Collection" option in PDQ Inventory Active Directory Preferences.
    • PDQ Inventory menu bar > Options > Preferences > Active Directory

The disabling of the "Create Active Directory Collections" option in PDQ Inventory Active Directory Preferences, will delete the collections pertaining to the AD OU containers that are being synced, and enabling this option will create those collections.

If you have any packages, schedules, reports that target these collections, then they may need to be relinked after they are recreated.
